Tocom Rubber Settles Up; May Extend Gains -Trader
Tocom rubber futures settle slightly higher with prices rebounding in the last 10 minutes of trade as the yen weakens intraday. Gains however, are limited as July Chinese manufacturing data show a further slowdown in factory activity. Tocom may extend gains Thursday, says a trader in Bangkok, citing high raw material prices, a weak yen, and prices finding firm support above Y250/kg in the last few trading days. Benchmark December rubber settles Y0.8 higher at Y257.1/kg, off the intraday high of Y259.3/kg. (
